Dream Job? (2)
So this months DNA coverboy, Shawn Russel… I thought he looked a little, how do you say? femme?
Maybe they put too much makeup on him for the cover? or probably the white from the umbrella making him pale…
anyhoo… The DNA boys sent out a few more pictures that changed my mind…
like this one
(My God the guy”’’s packing)
I enjoy ALL kinds of beverages… BUTT JUICE!!
I wouldn”t consider myself to be a prude in any way, and rarely am I shocked or offended… Which is the case with the "Lapjuicer" No, not offended, just made mildly queasy…
You see, it’’s a juicer to be used in performance… by a stripper:
Yes, The slogan is “you can’t touch – but you can drink my juice…”
and yes, it started as an art/design project..
Still confused? More "sexy" pictures after the jump
Why I love LA…

Dream Job?

Not that I mind beonecityblog, mind you, but sometimes you wonder what it woule be like to work at another blog.. or magazine… on another continent…
anyhoo, the guys at DNA got a good eyefull of this one: Todd Sanfield
Merv: Mary.
Yup, ole Merv Griffin was closeted homosexual.
Excerpt:
Merv Griffin was gay.
Why should that be so uncomfortable to read? Why is it so difficult to write? Why are we still so jittery even about raising the issue in purportedly liberal-minded Hollywood in 2007? We can refer to it casually in conversation, but the mainstream media somehow remains trapped in the Dark Ages when it comes to labeling a person as gay.

The Anatomy of Happiness:
NOTE: The following is a reprint from the beonecity literary magazine “RADIATE” oringinally published in March, 2007
BY JASON KOVAN-BOSS

Are we driven toward happiness? Or compellingly drawn toward it? Is it a natural human state? Or an enhanced state only achievable at times?
The search for happiness ends up determining most of our actions, relationships and attitudes. It is an elusive search for some, and seemingly ever present for others.
Happiness is essential to our quality of life. Many will attest that lasting happiness is not in material possessions or future achievements. Life can become defined by achievements. We become defined by who we date, how we look, our bodies, career, cars and holidays and travels.
The search for happiness can become all consuming.
Yet happiness can suddenly appear amidst despair.
Even those in the midst of the struggle for survival, can experience happiness.
And yet there is something about the struggle for survival that leads to happiness. The depression rates (a lack of happiness) in the developed world far surpass the rates of depression in the developing world. Why is this?
How can we with so much, be so unhappy?
How can those with so little, even struggling to survive, still find happiness?
